Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh spinach leaves
- 1 cup kale leaves, stems removed
- 1 medium carrot, peeled and chopped
- 1 small beet, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 orange, peeled and segmented
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup cold water or coconut water
How to Make It
- Wash all the greens thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or grit; you’ll know they’re clean when the water runs clear.
- Place the spinach, kale, carrot, beet, blueberries, and orange segments into a high‑speed blender.
- Add the chia seeds, lemon juice, and cold water (or coconut water) to the blender.
- Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth, about 30 seconds to a minute, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed; the juice is ready when it’s uniformly thick and no large pieces remain.
- Pour the juice into a glass and give it a quick stir to ensure the chia seeds are evenly distributed; it should have a slightly silky texture and a vibrant green‑purple hue.
- Enjoy immediately for the best nutrient retention, noticing the bright flavors and the subtle crunch from the chia seeds.
